A pilot survived a plane crash Sunday in a field north of Cottage Grove.
A caller to 9-1-1 reported a person sitting in a field next to an airplane. South Lane Fire and Rescue treated the pilot for minor injuries.
The single-engine plane suffered major damage to front of the aircraft.
The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.
