A Florida cat lost to the wind 14 years ago has found his way home.
Perry Martin of Fort Pierce, previously believed his orange feline friend named T2 had met an untimely end on the busy streets of east central Florida.
After Hurricane Jeanne left Florida a shambles in 2004, Martin was forced to move in with a friend. T2 the cat escaped a week later and was seemingly gone forever.
T2 was microchipped in 2002, but Martin hadn't seen hide nor hair of the tabby.. until March 9th. A Martin County Animal Services officer called Martin with the surprising news that T2 was being held in a Palm City animal shelter.
Martin admitted he thought he was being pranked and that the phone call was "too crazy to believe."
The long-separated pair were reunited last week at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
